Yoga for Healthy Bones
Arthritis and Osteoporosis can change the quality of your life, both physically and mentally. Medical interventions can help to alleviate symptoms but not without side effects and risks. Research shows that yoga is a powerful tool, and when coupled with other lifestyle changes, can slow the onset of these conditions, reduce symptom severity, and even improve your quality of life!
Learn how yoga can support healthy changes so that you can do more than just manage symptoms. You’ll learn to take steps to live well! This interactive and experiential program offers:
- Breathing techniques that strengthen your core and influence your experience of pain;
- Yoga poses that strengthen bones and muscles, lubricate joints, and improve posture;
- Props to make yoga poses available to all bodies;
- Mindfulness and meditation to facilitate living well with arthritis and osteoporosis.
Is this workshop for you? If you are concerned about the health of your joints and bones, you will benefit from this workshop. Learn how motion is lotion, and how a yoga practice can be adapted to what is happening in your body. You will leave with tools that will empower you to take charge of your bone health!
